{Ceremony Part 1}

Here's a very small preview of our ceremony site. We had a friend take some photographs of the wedding site and ceremony too, and I like hers just as much as our professional photographer's photos! It's kind of cool to see the different styles too. Anyways, I was hoping to have both of their pictures when I did this post (that's why it's been so long!) but, I will just work with what I have for now! So...Enjoy part one! :)

Our ceremony site. I love the giant tree on the river.

What's in the tree, you ask? Well, remember this post?

We had the most beautiful string quartet. It was so lovely.

Friends and Family fill the chairs while....

...The bridal party gets nervous!

Beautiful greenery!

That's all I have for you today friends! Stay tuned, there's so much more coming!

Stupid Wedding Poofs

So, remember the poof tissue paper balls I was soo excited about? Well, I got a huge group of girls together and we all sat down and decided to make some! We worked for about two hours and made almost half-about 42 of them! I was so super excited with this progress, I would be lying if I told you that these decorations didn't stress me out a little bit since we're 8 DAYS away!

However, there is a down side to this cheerful story.

I unfortunately got carried away when I was cutting and chopped my hand!

My mom said that I should've gotten stitches, it's a little deep (I could see my bone when I did it) but, silly me didn't want to. O well.

Did I mention 8 days until I get married!?

Weekend Plans

Today, I have 20 days until my wedding.

*little freak out moment*

It's great, I love it and I hate it all at once. Last time I wrote, we were having a flower girl dress trouble, but everything has been sorted out and everything is great now. :) I love it when it happens like that. We went with the last dress, the one with the big, giant bow, if you remember in this post. The moms/grandmoms of the girls are going to remove the bow and it will be perfect.
This last monday, I went with all my bridesmaids to our seamstress to get their dresses figured out. They all are a little bit different and the seamstress actually said that she loved them all together! Yea!
I also went to hobby lobby and target to buy our their supply of tissue paper. I have been for a couple of trips now, and at this moment we have 102 packages of 10 sheet tissue paper! These are for my poofs if you all remember here. We are not doing the dark pink that's in the photo, but instead white, which will look really cool against the black beams of my reception's ceiling. Cannot wait!
Today, the FI and I are going shopping to pick up some clothes for our Bahama beach vacation! Here's where we're going, and I am thrilled in our choice-literally might be more excited for this than the wedding! So beautiful, but the FI only has one swimsuit. So we're on a mission to find two more for him.
Hopefully today goes great-we actually have like ten places we need to go today for the wedding, which is two weekends away and no one has a panic attack! AHHH!

Wedding Poofs!!

O my Gosh! I am such a dork!!

Ok, so I'm really excited. I put the poofs past Ryan, and he loved them. I went to target and FOUND MY COLOR in tissue paper (this is more difficult than you think, my color is like a raspberry/wine color, not very common). So I bought a few packs in different colors to see if I could even do these things, and they TURNED OUT!! ahhh! success.

(sorry, such bad photos!)

The bad thing is, since we're getting married in June, we're going to have these hanging around the house until then...better not make anymore, huh?

Happy December

YEA for CHRISTMAS!

I just love christmas! :) It's not the presents, but it's the family love and especially the music. I think that there is something magical about Nat King Cole singing Christmas music. Or the most picturesque thing is reading a book, by the fire with a big mug of hot chocolate and watching those big, white flakes fall down. I love it.

In other news, school is almost done! (Which is another reason to celebrate!) I have decided to not go to school this next semester and instead work A LOT and get ready for the wedding. With Ryan and I moving in a year and a half, and I only need seven more classes, I might as well just enjoy this time in singledom. It was really a debate on if I should take this semester off or the fall when I will first be married, however, since we're getting married in June, I'll have a good two months with Ry before we have to go back.

Wedding planning is coming along GREAT! I have been searching for the perfect, cheap reception decorations, and I think that I found some pretty, romantic alternatives to the giant chinese paper lanterns (and these ones I can make for a few bucks!). What do you think?

So, I really like the frilly-ness of these, I think that they match my flowers (peonies, carnations and roses). I was going to do the fabric and christmas light thing, but it needed something else! Wha-la!! I was thinking about making them in the shades of pink, white and my sangria-raspberry color. I could vary the sizes as well. I haven't made any of them yet, and I actually just found this idea tonight, but I have six months before the wedding (and once school is done I will have a TON of time on my hands to do fun stuff like this!) so I think that I can pull it off. I'll post pictures of my attempts...:)

Let me know what you guys think....pretty or cheesy?
